Lead a prestigious programme supporting Pakistan's climate finance efforts in the MERL (Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning) space.

The role will be based in Islamabad, with travel to provinces as required for oversight, coordination and stakeholder engagement.

Programme Overview

This 5.5-year FCDO-funded assignment aims to crowd in private climate finance using a blended finance approach, supported by targeted technical assistance.

CIFPAK will focus on mobilising private investment for climate adaptation, deepening Pakistan's capital markets and unlocking new sources of private capital through innovative green financing instruments.

Job Description
  • Lead effective programme implementation, including stakeholder engagement, research, monitoring and evaluation, and delivery of timely and quality outputs.
  • Build rapport with key government institutions and implementers of FCDO's climate finance initiatives, driving delivery and influencing decision making.
  • Oversee all technical aspects of the programme, devising a strategy that will bring sustainable results.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Advanced university degree in international development, finance, economics or another relevant field.
  • 15+ years professional experience in programme management, preferably in Pakistan or South Asia.
  • Proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams in challenging contexts.
  • Excellent communication and diplomatic skills, with experience dealing with high-level officials.
