Job Title: Programme Analyst

We are seeking an experienced Programme Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing thematic leadership, technical guidance, oversight, and quality control of programme formulation and implementation in the area of Resilience, Environment and Climate Change.

About the Role:
  • Lead the development and implementation of programme strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure high-quality Resilience Environment and Climate Change programme portfolio performance with special emphasis on delivery targets, compliance, and strategic oversight.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and assess risks, develop mitigation strategies, and implement risk management frameworks to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Provide top-quality policy and technical advisory services to governments and other stakeholders in the area of Resilience, Environment and Climate Change.
  • Support innovation and facilitate the identification of development and climate financing solutions.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the implementation of programmes and projects, including functionality, resource management, quality assurance, output tracking, capacity planning, activity planning, and regular monitoring of Country Office (CO) programme performance in the area of resilience, environment, and climate change.
  • Contribute to the achievement of programme/project objectives and outcomes by carrying out regular oversight reviews of procedures, assessing reliability and integrity of information provided in project reports, and ensuring completeness of supporting documents.
  • Conduct periodic programme monitoring visits and prepare programme monitoring visit reports as required.
  • Ensure effective and efficient use of portfolio resources as per the agreed annual workplan.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, International Development, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in programme management, environmental protection, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
