Backend Engineer - Data and Systems Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer with expertise in designing and managing scalable systems, data storage solutions, and API integration.

Our ideal candidate will have strong experience with modern platforms such as Supabase, PostgreSQL, and Bubble.io, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement robust database management systems using PostgreSQL and Supabase.
  • Develop secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using Supabase Auth.
  • Build and integrate REST APIs and edge functions for seamless system interactions.
  • Configure and manage row-level security (RLS) for efficient data access control.
  • Connect Supabase backends to Bubble apps and optimize system performance.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend developers and no-code teams to drive project success.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of backend development experience.
  • Proficient knowledge of SQL and PostgreSQL with hands-on experience in database design and management.
  • Strong understanding of Supabase services including auth, DB, storage, and edge functions.
  • Familiarity with Bubble workflows and data structure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with serverless functions and cloud-based platforms.
  • Familiarity with Firebase or other BaaS platforms.
  • Prior experience combining Supabase and Bubble for innovative projects.
