Job Description

The purpose of this position is to carry out activities required to protect the company's interests in lawsuits filed or defended by the company.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor changes to various laws, rules, and regulations made by federal, provincial, and other statutory bodies from time to time.
  • Evaluate the probable effect on operations or relations with others and advise accordingly.
  • Develop strategies to address changes in regulatory requirements and public policy.
  • Review drafts of impending legislation, evaluate the probable effect on the company, and advise management on possible steps to take.
  • Work with departments to collect necessary documents related to litigation matters, follow up on lawsuits, or finalize other matters requiring input from the legal department.
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Law graduate from a recognized university with 11 years of relevant experience and 4 years of Bar Enrollment.
  • At least 04 years of relevant experience as a Functional / Team Lead.
  • Strong understanding of laws, rules, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
