Job Description

Prepare Purchase Orders: As per proforma invoices, prepare purchase orders to facilitate smooth import transactions.

Arrange LC/Contract with Banks: Coordinate with various banks to open and manage Letter of Credit (LC) and contracts.

Follow-up on LC/Contract: Monitor and follow up on LC and contract for any amendments, additions, or deletions to ensure timely execution.

Track Import Consignments: Maintain accurate records of all import consignments in transit, including their status and movement.

Inform Sales Department: Keep the sales department informed about all booked import consignments to facilitate effective communication.

Manage Maturity Plans: Develop and manage maturity plans for LC and contracts with banks to ensure timely payments of matured documents.

Coordinate with Clearing Agents: Collaborate with clearing agents to facilitate import clearance and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Notify Warehouses: Inform warehouses about expected import arrival dates to ensure efficient storage and handling.

Record Entries in Software: Make entries in software for LC openings, document payments, purchase orders, and import purchases to maintain accurate financial records.

Process Payments: Process payments and cheques for clearing agents, insurance companies, and indenting commissions, and record payment entries in software.

Prepare Party Reconciliation Statements: Prepare party reconciliation statements as required to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial dealings.

Duty Payment Details: Receive duty payment details from clearing agents, issue cheques, and record in software to ensure compliance with tax regulations.

Fund Statements: Prepare fund statements by date to ensure availability of funds for upcoming import payments and meet financial obligations.

ERP System Familiarity: Possess familiarity with ERP systems to effectively manage and monitor import transactions.
