We are seeking a skilled Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs. This role involves integrating backend logic with databases and external services, implementing support for chatbot workflows and logic, and collaborating with frontend developers and AI/NLP engineers to deliver complete solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable REST APIs
  • Integrate backend logic with databases and external services
  • Implement backend support for chatbot workflows and logic
  • Collaborate with frontend developers, AI/NLP engineers, and DevOps to deliver complete solutions
  • Optimize performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high reliability
  • Maintain proper documentation of APIs and backend processes

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Strong programming skills in Node.js and/or Python (FastAPI preferred)
  • Solid understanding of RESTful API design and development
  • Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
  • Familiarity with OAuth 2.0 and secure API authentication practices
  • Understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture
  • Proficiency in Git and version control workflows
  • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with chatbot platforms or AI-related applications
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and deployment pipelines
  • Familiarity with containerization (Docker)
  • Experience with GraphQL is a plus
  • Unit testing and API testing experience (e.g., Postman, PyTest, Jest)
