Senior QA Project Manager Job Overview

This role combines the responsibilities of a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) specialist and a Project Manager, providing a unique opportunity for candidates to develop their skills in both areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Assurance: Design, implement and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases and test scripts to ensure software quality.
  • Automation: Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and tools to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
  • Project Management: Lead QA projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery of quality software.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, product management and other stakeholders to define testing requirements and resolve issues.
  • Defect Tracking: Identify, document and track bugs and issues, ensuring they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Reporting: Provide regular status reports and metrics to management regarding testing progress and quality metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements and best practices in QA methodologies and tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a project management role.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g. Selenium, JUnit, TestNG).
  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g. JIRA, Trello, Asana).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
