Job Description

\

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering a multi-sectoral training session focused on Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Anti-Rape Act, Investigation, Medicolegal, and Prosecutorial Protocols in Balochistan.

\

Key objectives of the training include improving coordination and case outcomes through survivor-centred approaches, legal frameworks, and inter-agency collaboration. The consultant will work closely with stakeholders to ensure tailored training content and materials that cater to the needs of Investigation Officers, Medico Legal Officers, and Prosecutors in the region.

\Required Skills and Qualifications\
  • \
  • Advanced law degree or relevant field (e.g., public health, gender studies)\
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working within the Criminal Justice System in Pakistan\
  • Proven expertise in GBV, legal frameworks, and survivor-centred approaches\
  • Experience in developing and delivering training using adult learning methodologies\
  • Familiarity with the Anti-Rape (Investigation and Trial) Act 2021 and related legal instruments\
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills\
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and build relationships with stakeholders\
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills\
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to values-based practice\
  • Commitment to upholding protection against sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) standards\
  • Fluency in English language\
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications\
  • Ability to travel to Quetta for in-person training sessions\
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines\
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing capacity-building and professional development\
  • Adherence to LAS's child safeguarding policies and procedures\
  • Respect for confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive information\
  • Professional certification in any of the following areas: Medicolegal Reporting, GBV Response, or Adult Learning Methodologies is an added advantage.\
