Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Data Engineer to lead the development and maintenance of data pipelines, ensuring high-quality data is accessible and reliable across the organization. This individual will design, implement, and optimize scalable data processing systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Architecture: Develop and maintain robust data architecture principles, incorporating cutting-edge technologies to enhance data storage, retrieval, and analysis.
  • Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with data scientists, analysts, and engineers to understand data requirements, ensure seamless data flow, and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Optimization and Security: Continuously monitor and improve data pipeline performance, ensuring data integrity, security, and compliance.
  • ETL Processes and Automation: Implement ETL processes and automate data workflows to streamline efficiency and accuracy, minimizing downtime.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Proactively identify and resolve data pipeline issues, maintaining high uptime and reducing operational risk.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data architecture, processes, and workflows, facilitating smooth collaboration and knowledge transfer.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and best practices in data engineering, contributing to the continuous improvement of data processes and systems.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with NoSQL databases, expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, and hands-on experience with big data technologies.
  • Cloud Platforms and Storage Solutions: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), including data storage solutions like S3, Redshift, or BigQuery.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, with excellent communication skills and at least 2 years of international client communication experience.
