Public Health Specialist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Health Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development, management, and implementation of HIV-related activities in Sindh.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support program development and planning with the Government of Sindh (Health Department, Sindh AIDS Control Programme)
  • Participate in strategic program discussions on the planning of HIV programs in the context of health system strengthening
  • Formulate, design, and prepare HIV/AIDS program proposals, ensuring alignment with overall UNICEF Strategic Plans, Country Program, and work plans

Key Requirements

  • An advanced university degree in one of the following fields: medicine, public health, pediatric health, family health, health research, global/international health, health policy and/or management, environmental health sciences, biostatistics, socio-medical, health education, epidemiology, or other health-related sciences
  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in public HIV/AIDS programming, planning, and management, and relevant areas of Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMCT), pediatric HIV care, community-based HIV programs at national/international levels, and health emergency/humanitarian preparedness
