Procurement Leadership OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced professional to lead the development of a company-wide Category Purchase Strategy for commodities. This role involves managing strategic relationships with key suppliers and industry bodies, as well as developing and maintaining documentation in support of key Supplier and Development initiatives.About the Role:
  • This is a senior leadership position within the Procurement division, requiring a high level of technical expertise, business acumen, and communication skills.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives and providing guidance to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage project governance documentation for Supplier and Development initiatives.
  • Provide support to the project board and checkpoints for Projects.
  • Coordinate data handling contract requirements with PD policy owners and Information Directorate.
  • Represent the organization in internal and external forums.
  • Prepare briefings and papers on procurement issues for the Procurement Management Group, PD Director, Board Directors, and CEO.
  • Identify and manage key risks on behalf of the Procurement division.
  • Promote organizational initiatives and make presentations to large audiences.
Requirements:
  • A proven track-record in leading major procurement exercises, selecting tenders, managing contracts, and developing suppliers.
  • A strong contribution towards developing and improving the procurement function.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
