Senior Backend Developer for Real-Time Data Handling

We are seeking a highly skilled developer to build a robust, scalable, and secure system for real-time data handling and deployment of a headless server.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in RESTful/WebAPIs, user authentication, matchmaking, leaderboards, session persistence, database management, and cloud environment setup.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs for real-time data handling.
  • Create and deploy Unity headless server builds to manage multiplayer sessions.
  • Implement user authentication and authorization mechanisms.
  • Manage databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) for game data and user profiles.
  • Optimize server performance for latency and scalability.
  • Work with the development team to integrate frontend with backend services.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain backend services in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP).

Requirements:

  • Experience with real-time networking (WebSockets, Photon, Mirror).
  • Experience deploying Unity headless server builds.
  • Familiarity with Unity WebGL and UnityWebRequest API integration.
  • Strong database knowledge (SQL or NoSQL).
  • Understanding of multiplayer architecture, session management, and load balancing.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
