Mid-Senior Shopify Developer Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mid-Senior Shopify developer to join our team. As an experienced e-commerce specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing custom layouts, sections, and features to improve UI/UX and site functionality.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Shopify store setup, product listing, and advanced storefront customization. You will work closely with the content, marketing, and product teams to ensure the e-commerce stores are visually appealing, functionally efficient, and conversion-driven.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and Implement Custom Storefronts: Use your expertise in Shopify's ecosystem to design and implement custom layouts, sections, and features that enhance user experience and drive conversions.
  2. eCommerce Platform Management: Manage and maintain multiple Shopify stores, ensuring they are up-to-date, secure, and optimized for performance.
  3. Integration and API Management: Integrate third-party APIs, custom scripts, and marketing integrations (e.g., Klaviyo, Mailchimp) while minimizing bloat and ensuring seamless functionality.
  4. Performance Optimization: Analyze and optimize site speed by compressing images, eliminating unused CSS/JS, lazy-loading media, and managing third-party scripts.
  5. SEO and Content Strategy: Implement on-page SEO: optimize images (alt tags), internal linking, schema markup, and JSON-LD for rich snippets, and collaborate with the content team to develop a robust content strategy.
  6. User Experience and Conversion Rate Optimization: Evaluate and improve cart abandonment rate, upsell/cross-sell, and increase average order value (AOV) through data-driven insights and A/B testing.
  7. Platform Expertise and Growth Strategy: Stay current with Shopify updates and recommend strategic improvements, such as subscription models, custom bundles, or wholesale portals.
Requirements:
  1. Experience as a Shopify Developer: Proven experience working as a Shopify developer with a strong portfolio of live e-commerce stores.
  2. Strong Understanding of Shopify Ecosystem: Deep understanding of Shopify store setup, product listing, and advanced storefront customization.
  3. Excellent Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues efficiently.
  4. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Related Field: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field and 2-4 years of experience with e-commerce platforms.
