Security Specialist
">Provides a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff by enforcing regulations and identifying potential hazards through continuous patrols.
">- Investigates complaints or suspicious activity, provides protective services, and restrains patients as necessary.
- Possesses excellent customer service skills, works effectively with diverse populations, and maintains confidentiality at all times.
- Patrols assigned areas, identifies unsafe conditions, and prevents theft, injuries, or damages to property.
- Maintains accountability for valuables, evidence, and documentation, ensures safekeeping, and prepares accurate reports.
- Performs dispatch duties using integrated security systems, responds to emergencies, and assists in the restraint of patients.
- Participates in workplace and domestic victim assistance, medical emergencies, and dignitary protection.
Requirements:
">- Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice or related field preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in hospital, security, police, emergency medical, or customer service preferred.

">- Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to deescalate anxious/stressed individuals and manage aggression.
- Works effectively independently and in teams, able to multitask and prioritize tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and analytical judgment.
- Customer service skills: accessible, energetic, concerned, empathetic, positive attitude, collaborative, and flexible.
- Displays tact, diplomacy, active listening, and articulate communication.
- Demonstrates understanding of community policing, risk analysis, and crime prevention concepts.
- Strong writing skills to provide and maintain documentation.
