Transforming Healthcare with AI

We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Software Engineer to join our team. As a leader in the field of Artificial Intelligence, you will have the opportunity to harness the power of Large Language Models (LLMs) and modern AI tooling to develop intelligent solutions for our EHR and care management ecosystem.

This role offers the chance to build smart tools that directly improve patient outcomes and provider efficiency. From auto-generating care plans and documentation to upgrading workflows using Devin-style AI agents, you will be at the forefront of innovation in the healthcare space.

This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in a fast-paced SaaS environment and wants to lead real-world projects that serve long-term care, IDD, and assisted living providers.

Main Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement AI Strategy: Align with company goals, focusing on documentation automation, predictive analytics, intelligent agents, and system optimization.
  • Prioritize AI Use Cases: Identify and prioritize use cases for AI integration across Engineering, Product, and Implementation.
  • Design and Deploy AI Solutions: Lead the design and deployment of AI solutions using LLMs, RAG pipelines, agentic frameworks, and AI coding assistants.
  • Evaluate and Select AI Tools: Oversee the evaluation, selection, and implementation of AI tools and platforms.
  • Collaborate with Engineers: Collaborate with software engineers to rapidly prototype, test, and deploy AI features inside iCM's modular EHR and care coordination platform.
  • Track AI Performance: Develop metrics and dashboards to track AI model performance, business impact, and usage.
  • Foster Innovation Culture: Foster a culture of innovation, safe experimentation, and responsible AI adoption.
  • Build External Partnerships: Build external partnerships with AI vendors, research institutions, and innovation hubs.
  • Stay Ahead of AI Trends: Stay ahead of AI trends and healthcare industry developments to keep our solutions competitive.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in applied AI, ML, or NLP with at least 2 years leading AI-focused initiatives or teams.
  • Hands-on experience with modern AI technologies, including LLMs, prompt engineering, and agentic frameworks.
  • Proficient in Python and cloud-based AI platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Strong track record of turning AI/ML concepts into deployed, usable features in SaaS or production systems.
  • Experience integrating AI with healthcare systems, CRM, ERP, or EHR software preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across departments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience building and deploying RAG pipelines or agent-based AI solutions.
  • Familiarity with DevOps, MLOps, or AI observability frameworks.
  • Background in healthcare, life sciences, or digital health.
  • Understanding of HIPAA, data security, and ethical AI practices in healthcare.
  • Certifications in AI/ML are a plus.
