Freight Forwarder Job Description

We are seeking a skilled freight forwarder to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing logistics and transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  1. Manage shipments from pickup to delivery, coordinating with carriers and clients as needed.
  2. Analyze shipment data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  3. Develop relationships with clients and carrier partners to ensure seamless logistics operations.
  4. Monitor and report on shipment status, delays, and issues.
  5. Collaborate with management to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction.
  6. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and regulatory changes affecting logistics operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in international freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Degree in business, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and carrier partners.
  • Proficient in logistics software and technology, with ability to learn new systems quickly.
