This position requires strong communication skills, a proactive approach to generating leads, and the ability to work collaboratively with the operation team. Responsibilities:
- Develop relationships with customers and generate new business
- Form a customer base by establishing communication with prospective clients, understanding their supply chain needs, and building out proposals to meet their requirements
- Promote our services which include, but are not limited to Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, and Trucking
- Create quotes and bid proposals and present them to prospective customers
- Collaborate with management to achieve sales targets and objectives
- Identify market trends and competitive rate actions and communicate those trends to management
- Provide excellent customer service and address client inquiries and concerns
- Maintain consistent communication with the Operations team and overseas offices
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in International freight forwarding sales or general sales
- Must be knowledgeable about freight forwarding operations in ocean and air transportation
- Have an existing client base
- Self-starter with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Possess a client-focused mindset with a strong ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Excellent negotiation and closing skills with a proven track record of selling logistics services
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales goals
- Excel in decision-making and problem-solving with exceptional analytical skills
