The role of a Site Reliability Engineer offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies, drive automation, and enhance infrastructure resilience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, and enhance Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for Kubernetes-based platforms.
  • Build and maintain Docker container images, managing dependencies.

Maintaining Environment Setup and Resilience:

  • Configure, automate, and maintain diverse environments, including on-premises Kubernetes clusters, AWS EKS, VMware, and containerized setups.
  • Focus on process automation to increase efficiency and consistency.

Large-Scale Cluster Management:

  • Deploy and manage large-scale Kubernetes clusters, MySQL clusters, storage solutions (e.g., OpenEBS), ELK stacks, and Redis.
  • Ensure high availability and resilience of infrastructure.

Automation and Configuration Management:

  • Leverage tools like Ansible and Puppet to automate environment setup and simplify configuration management.

Application Modernization and Scalability:

  • Collaborate with development teams to transition legacy monolithic applications to microservices architectures on both on-premises and public cloud platforms.

Dashboards and Integration Development:

  • Create dashboards and integrate components to improve visibility into infrastructure and application performance.

Operational Automation and Efficiency:

  • Utilize APIs, CLI tools, and custom scripting to automate repetitive operational tasks, improving efficiency and reducing manual effort.
Required Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Unix-based environments, including RedHat and Ubuntu.
  • Experience with build systems (e.g., Dockerfiles, Make) and CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD and Jenkins.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware, Docker containers, and Kubernetes orchestration.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with CLI tools for Veeam Backup, VMware, AWS, Azure, and Netscaler load balancers.
  • Expertise with on-prem Kubernetes (including AWS EKS) and Docker Compose.
  • Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack, and SolarWinds for monitoring and logging.
  • Proficient in Git for version control and team collaboration.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate should have 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
