Job Opportunity: Accounting Specialist

We are seeking an experienced accounting specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial and management accounting, with a proven track record of implementing accounting systems and providing end-to-end client support.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, including matching, coding, and processing purchase/sales invoices.
  • Ensure debtor balances are within targets and customer accounts are periodically reconciled; reconcile AR balances to control accounts.
  • Resolve customer/supplier queries and ensure controls/processes are in place to minimize such queries.
  • Manage staff expenses and ensure company policy adherence.
  • Reconcile suppliers' statements, process BACS payments, distribute remittance advices.
  • Reconcile all banks including credit cards daily and ensure bank balances match control accounts.
  • Prepare daily and weekly reports, monthly management accounts, and lead monthly balance sheet reviews.
  • Implement accounting systems, train junior colleagues, assist with external reporting and compliance audits, and identify process improvement opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Certified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with a minimum of 1+ years' experience.
  • Ability to provide end-to-end client support independently.
  • Experience in implementing accounting systems.
  • Experience in financial and management accounting and controls.
  • Excellent IT skills, including advanced Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Self-management skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Results-oriented with a positive attitude.
