Procurement Associate

The Procurement Associate is responsible for supporting the procurement process, ensuring timely availability of quality materials at competitive prices. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support in preparing purchase plans and material availability as per project/production requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals.
  • Issue purchase orders and follow up on deliveries.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors.
  • Evaluate vendor performance on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain and update an approved vendor database.
  • Cost Management:
    • Support in preparing procurement budgets and monitoring expenses.
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing and negotiations.
  • Compliance & Documentation:
    • Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
    • Maintain accurate purchase records, agreements, and supplier contracts.
    • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and audits.
  • Coordination & Reporting:
    • Coordinate with internal departments (production, accounts, warehouse, etc.) to align purchase needs.
    • Track purchase requisitions and report status to management.
    • Provide regular MIS reports on procurement activities, savings, and vendor performance.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing.
  • Experience in industry-specific procurement will be an advantage.

Reporting To: Manager – Purchase / Head of Procurement

Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
