Main Job Responsibilities
  • Manage the purchase ledger to ensure accurate processing of invoices and expenses, as well as timely payment adherence to processes and risk management.
  • Oversee supplier accounts including statements and reconciliations.
  • Process supplier invoices and credit notes through the system accurately, including correct departments, nominal codes and VBU, in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the approvals process is followed and all invoices and expenses are received and compliant before payment.
  • Provide POs to suppliers and reconcile to invoices where required.
  • Prepare payment runs, identifying invoices for payment, uploading to the bank portal and providing remittances to suppliers.
  • Process staff expenses ensuring accurate coding, including management of Barclaycard statements.
  • Reconcile supplier statements.
  • Maintain and develop good relationships with suppliers, resolving queries or disputes.
  • Work with the finance manager to ensure accruals are accurate and substantiated.
  • Ensure the purchase ledger is reconciled and up-to-date.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Prior experience in purchase ledger management is essential.
  • A thorough understanding of the purchase-to-pay process, including controls and risks, is necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required.
  • NetSuite experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to own processes and use initiative are required.
