Hotel Operations Manager

The Hotel Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire hotel operation, ensuring successful delivery of short- and long-term expectations of stakeholders.

  • Develop and implement strategies to advance revenue, profitability, and commercial interests.
  • Prepare rolling strategic plans in line with the overall hotel strategic plan.
  • Manage financial operations, including budgeting, key performance indicators, financial reporting, and capital expenditure to ensure effective cost control and profitability.
  • Drive sales and marketing initiatives to improve revenue growth through innovation in services, product offerings, and sales and marketing strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, and maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Monitor and record breakages, wastage, and associated costs. Forecast, monitor, and control wage costs.

Evaluate and optimize hotel operations to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.

Maintain property maintenance and upkeep, as well as public and back-of-house areas, to ensure they are presentable and that all equipment is stored correctly.

Resolve customer concerns and address all feedback in a timely and professional manner.

Conduct competitor analysis to ascertain the hotel's position in the market place.

Maximize occupancy, room rates, and revenues for the hotel.

Ensure consistent high standards of food preparation, presentation, and quality are maintained in the F&B outlet.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in the hospitality industry.
