Senior Director of Hospital Operations

To excel in this role, you will be responsible for integrating the hospital's strategic plan with operational activities to ensure smooth and efficient functioning. This includes managing profit and loss statements, resources associated with hospital operations, and delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and execute operational plans to provide exceptional patient care and increase patient numbers in out-patient and in-patient departments.
  2. Ensure effective hospital operations by providing necessary guidelines to the team.
  3. Create proposals for new projects, including construction, renovation, and maintenance, as per the hospital's five-year plan.
  4. Participate in strategic and operational planning under the CEO's leadership.
  5. Ensure availability of skilled human resources based on workload and healthcare standards within approved budgets.
  6. Supervise staff training and development programs to enhance their skills.
  7. Implement initiatives to transform hospital culture towards positivity, knowledge sharing, responsibility, flexibility, and empowerment.
  8. Collaborate with communities, educational institutes, and NGOs on healthcare awareness campaigns, medical campuses, and patient attraction strategies.
  9. Provide leadership support to the Manager of Operations to optimize facility management, ambulance services, transport, hostels, and cafeteria services.
  10. Implement preventive maintenance plans for biomedical equipment to ensure smooth functioning.
  11. Manage supply chain processes for medical and non-medical items to support hospital operations.
  12. Contribute to budget planning and assist the CEO in obtaining approval for the operating budget.
  13. Manage hospital finances within budget guidelines, adhering to policies and legal requirements.
  14. Achieve revenue and profitability targets through quality healthcare services and regular monitoring.
  15. Deliver cost-effective healthcare by implementing process improvements, effective purchasing, and resource utilization.
  16. Integrate technology into hospital operations via HIMS/SAP systems.
  17. Ensure delivery of quality medical and nursing care through regular monitoring.
  18. Execute marketing strategies to promote hospital services and achieve revenue growth.
  19. Ensure implementation and maintenance of ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  20. Develop operational plans for high-quality healthcare and outstanding patient experience.
  21. Manage quality documentation, audits, and audit findings.
  22. Oversee undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programs according to PMDC/CPSP guidelines.
  23. Implement Continuous Medical Education programs and measure their impact on patient care.
