YouTube Content Writer – AI and SaaS Expert

We are seeking a creative, research-driven YouTube content writer to join our team full-time. As an expert in AI and SaaS focused content, you will craft compelling narratives that engage audiences and drive results.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of scriptwriting experience specifically for YouTube, with a proven track record of working with SaaS or tech-based products. You should have a strong understanding of YouTube SEO and audience retention strategies, as well as the ability to write in both a fun/casual tone and a more professional/technical voice, depending on the topic.

Your portfolio should include:

  • 2-3 long-form YouTube video scripts (bonus if video links are available)
  • 3-5 Shorts scripts

You should be self-driven and capable of working independently with tight deadlines. Bonus points if you have experience working in the AI tools or creative tech space, or a strong interest in content virality and storytelling psychology.

This is a mid-senior level, full-time position within the marketing and writing/editing function of the internet publishing industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Write engaging long-form YouTube video scripts (10–15 min) and high-retention Shorts scripts
  • Conduct deep research on tech, SaaS, and AI topics – turning complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives
  • Optimize scripts for YouTube SEO, retention, and viewer engagement
  • Collaborate with content strategists, designers, and editors to bring each video to life
  • Stay up-to-date on YouTube trends, competitor content, and algorithm changes
Requirements
  • 3+ years of scriptwriting experience specifically for YouTube
  • Proven experience working with SaaS or tech-based products
  • Strong understanding of YouTube SEO and audience retention strategies
  • Ability to write in multiple tones and styles
  • A robust portfolio showcasing your skills
