Job Title: Librarian

We are seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to support the daily operations of our library in Karachi, Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with book circulation, cataloging, and administrative tasks.
  2. Maintain the organization of the library by shelving books and ensuring they are in proper order.
  3. Catalog new books and materials using the library's online system.
  4. Manage the library's collection by creating displays, recommending new purchases, and weeding out outdated or damaged materials.
  5. Provide excellent customer service to library patrons by answering questions, helping them locate materials, and providing information about library programs and services.
  6. Support programming efforts by helping to plan events and workshops for library patrons of all ages.
  7. Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phones, responding to emails, and keeping track of inventory.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and experience working with online cataloging systems.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
