Job Summary

The Solution & Proposal Engineer plays a pivotal role in conceptualizing, refining, and proposing tailored control system solutions that meet customer requirements. This critical position entails working on projects across diverse industries, including Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Energy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review RFQs to ensure design solutions align with customer specifications.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of PLC / DCS-based control systems (Rockwell/ Schneider/ Emerson) and SCADA systems.
  • Estimate and propose solutions for brown field jobs, considering factors such as project scope and timeline.
  • Perform effort estimation for engineering, construction, and testing works, taking into account resource allocation and task prioritization.
  • Provide sales support for key proposals against received RFQs, collaborating with the sales team to ensure seamless communication.
  • Coordinate proposals with the sales team and provide multiple quotes from vendors, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Design optimal control system architectures with knowledge of network protocols, ensuring scalability and reliability.
  • Ensure quality of product solutions as defined, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in theoretical concepts and practical applications.
  • Minimum 5-6 years of work experience in engineering or technical sales, showcasing expertise in solution development and client engagement.
  • Knowledge of field instrumentation selections and cost-optimized solution designing, enabling effective resource allocation and budget management.
  • Site work and construction scope estimation for control system solutions, considering factors such as site conditions and project timelines.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing for efficient identification and resolution of complex issues.
  • Business development and negotiation skills, facilitating effective collaboration with clients and stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and concise communication of ideas and proposals.
