Job Overview

As a software project leader, you will be responsible for planning and executing various projects within the software development lifecycle. Your duties will include leading cross-functional teams, managing project timelines, and ensuring compliance with quality standards.


Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution:
  1. Developed and implemented data science and artificial intelligence projects in previous roles.
  2. Coordinate and execute software projects to ensure timely delivery, meeting project goals and budget constraints.
  3. Prepare project plans that outline schedules, resource allocation, and task assignments.
  4. Monitor progress, track milestones, and address any deviations from the project plan.
  • Team Leadership and Coordination:
  1. Supervise and guide project teams to foster a collaborative work environment.
  2. Conduct regular team meetings to provide direction and align team efforts with project objectives.
  3. Address team issues, manage conflicts, and support team members to optimize performance.
  • Technical Expertise:
  1. Strong understanding of data architecture, ETL/ELT processes, SQL and data modeling, data governance, data quality, and business intelligence/reporting tools.
  • Stakeholder Communication:
  1. Act as primary point of contact for project-related communications with stakeholders, ensuring transparency and managing expectations.
  2. Provide regular project updates, addressing concerns and seeking feedback to guarantee customer satisfaction.
  • Risk Management:
  1. Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or quality.
  2. Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies and manage unforeseen challenges to keep projects on track.
  • Release Planning:
  1. Collaborate with development, QA, and project teams to create release plans, schedules, and scope.
  2. Define release objectives, criteria, success metrics, and rollback plans.
  3. Assess the impact of release changes and coordinate adjustments as needed.
  4. Execute the release plan in collaboration with DevOps teams.
  • Quality Assurance:
  1. Oversee quality control processes to ensure software development meets industry standards and client requirements.
  2. Conduct regular reviews and assessments to maintain high-quality project deliverables.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering is required.
  • Proven experience as a project manager in the software development industry.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, etc.).
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Trello).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.
  • Familiarity with software development processes, tools, and technologies.
