About the Role

The Employee Relations Generalist plays a critical role in ensuring a positive and productive work environment. As the primary point of contact for HR-related inquiries, complaints, and customer service, this position requires excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Serving as the main point of contact for employee relations inquiries, complaints, and customer service, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Supporting managers on HR-related activities such as promotions, investigations, absenteeism management, corrective actions, PIPs, terminations, and restructuring activities.
  • Collaborating with other workforce support tiers to ensure timely resolution of inquiries in a comprehensive and friendly manner.
  • Maintaining proficiency in digital tools, specifically Servicenow, and supporting regional employee relations issues using this platform.

This role also involves planning and organizing employee engagement and CSR activities, both on-site and off-site, including coordination with external vendors for event management.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to approach issues or disagreements with an objective win-win solution mindset.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities/cases simultaneously, knowing when to seek support and escalate as needed.
  • Capacity to develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, functional leaders, local labor unions, local government, and other stakeholders.
  • In-depth understanding of human resources and labor relations principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in using digital case management and workflow management tools to complete core activities.
  • Prior experience managing/supporting Payroll and Time & Attendance activities is an added advantage.
