Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team.

  • This role will involve supporting the organization in various areas of cybersecurity, including incident handling and management, patch management, CIS hardening, vulnerability management, penetration testing, and follow-ups on cybersecurity assessments.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Support incident handling and management, ensuring timely and effective resolution of security incidents.
  2. Run patch management programs, vulnerability management programs, and perform patching on servers, workstations, and desktops.
  3. Perform CIS scans and maintain CIS CAT servers, ensuring compliance with established security standards.
  4. Maintain a secure environment by performing hardening activities to mitigate security gaps identified during different security activities.
  5. Identify vulnerabilities and perform remediation as needed, collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
  6. Maintain vulnerability scanning tools and create scan reports, providing actionable insights for improvement.
  7. Modify Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and other configurations to perform hardening and vulnerability remediation, optimizing system performance and security.
  8. Implement security controls and recommendations based on security assessment and penetration testing reports, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve user issues and open tickets with principals if required, delivering high-quality support and service.
  10. Change policies impacting business operations, handle incidents as per instructions from the SOC Team, and complete tasks assigned by the PLRA Team, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA's):

  • Incident handling and management.
  • Penetration testing.

Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification Required:

  • BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or Cyber Security.
  • 4 years of experience in a related field.
