Job Title: Regional Business Development Lead
A Senior Leadership Role for Strategic Growth and Expansion.
We are seeking a seasoned business development expert to spearhead our growth efforts in new markets. As a Regional Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for driving strategic direction, expanding our presence, and leading a team of talented professionals.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute comprehensive business development strategies tailored to assigned areas, aligning with company objectives and regional opportunities.
- Identify and prioritize market segments and growth opportunities in the region, devising strategic initiatives to address them.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Foster a high-performance culture within the team, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and individual targets.
- Develop an end-to-end on-ground payments ecosystem driven by mobile wallets, with a strong network of payment acceptance points and merchant-to-distributor (M2D) payments.
- Focus on identifying, developing, and scaling new and emerging digital payment use cases, such as Tap-to-Pay, to strengthen and expand the overall merchant payments ecosystem across Pakistan.
- Drive the agent channel to ensure cash-in and cash-out servicing for the mobile wallet base in the respective region.
- Create a M2D payments ecosystem by onboarding local distributors and enabling merchants for M2D payments.
- Spearhead efforts to increase the company's market presence and penetration in the remote area.
- Conduct detailed market research and analysis to identify gaps, assess potential, and implement targeted strategies.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, local partners, clients, and industry influencers.
- Represent the company at local events, conferences, and networking opportunities to enhance business visibility and forge new partnerships.
- Oversee the tracking and reporting of sales performance metrics for the remote area, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Provide regular reports and insights to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a relevant field preferred.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in business development, strategic planning, or sales management, with a proven track record of leadership and successful market expansion.
- Prior experience in managing teams and developing strategies in a remote or challenging environment is highly desirable.
- Strong strategic thinking and vision-setting abilities.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a focus on driving performance and achieving goals.
- Proven expertise in market analysis, business expansion, and relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in a remote or less-established market setting.
- Willingness to relocate to or work in a remote area with limited company presence.
- Ability to work independently and manage a team remotely, with occasional travel to corporate headquarters or other locations as needed.
