We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Officer to join our team of medical professionals. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with patients from diverse backgrounds and contribute to the development of innovative healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. ">
  2. The Senior Medical Officer will be responsible for performing assessments and reassessments of all patients, forming diagnoses based on lab results, and recommending relevant treatments.">
  3. They will also be responsible for calculating correct medication dosages and providing prescriptions accordingly, making regular follow-ups with patients as requested, evaluating patient conditions, and making changes to treatment plans as necessary.">
  4. Additionally, the Senior Medical Officer will refer patients to other health facilities as needed and work towards enhancing their competencies in a clinical setting under the supervision of consultants and other faculty members.">
  5. They will participate in educational activities such as CMEs, Grand Rounds, and Journal Clubs where applicable and maintain awareness of infection control practices and follow them in the workplace.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • The ideal candidate should have an MBBS degree from a HEC recognized university, preferably with additional diplomas or MCPS in relevant fields.">
  • They should also have at least six years of post-MBBS experience in related areas or three years with additional qualifications.">
  • The candidate should be able to understand issues from the patient's perspective, maintain open and consistent communication with faculty, staff, patients, and their families, and make decisions by weighing several factors.">
  • They should be able to act quickly in crisis situations, counsel patients and their families, and adapt content and style to suit the target audience's language and level of understanding.">
  • Good written communication skills, especially for patient care documentation, are also essential.">
