Accounting Manager Role Overview

The Accounting Manager plays a vital role in the financial management of our company by ensuring accurate accounting processes, managing accounts payable and receivable, assisting with the preparation of financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage and oversee accounts payable and receivable functions to process invoices and make timely payments.
  • General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to record financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage cash flow to maintain adequate liquidity for operations.
  • Audit Preparation: Assist in preparing for internal and external audits to ensure financial documentation is available.
  • Expense Control: Review and analyze expenses to improve cost control and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • ACCA, CA, ICAEW, or equivalent professional qualification (pursuing or qualified).
  • Experience:
    • 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance roles with focus on general accounting, financial reporting, and tax compliance.
    • Preferred: Candidates with Big4 audit firm experience highly preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP). Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team remotely.
