Energy Storage System Designer

Design, develop, and implement complete Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions for renewable energy projects. This role involves the creation of electrical single-line diagrams, control architecture, and protection schemes to optimize BESS performance.
- Develop comprehensive BESS designs, including electrical SLDs, control systems, and protection schemes.
- Evaluate and select suitable battery chemistries based on project requirements, considering factors such as efficiency, durability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Perform system sizing and energy modeling to determine optimal capacity and configuration, ensuring compliance with national and international standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate BESS with PV plants, gensets, grid, and hybrid energy management systems.
- Review and ensure adherence to technical specifications, vendor proposals, and quality standards.
This position requires a strong technical background in electrical engineering, renewable energy, and power systems, with hands-on experience in energy storage systems or power engineering. Preferred qualifications include knowledge of renewable hybrid systems, battery technologies, inverter systems, and EMS/BMS.
Responsibilities- Design and develop BESS solutions, including electrical SLDs, control architecture, and protection schemes.
- Conduct site installation supervision, testing, and commissioning of BESS projects.
- Prepare test protocols, commissioning reports, and system handover documentation.
- Monitor and analyze system performance post-deployment.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Power Systems, or related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of hands-on experience in energy storage systems or power engineering.
- Knowledge of battery technologies, inverter systems, and EMS/BMS.
- Experience in renewable hybrid systems is preferred.
