Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our mission-critical web and database servers, primarily running on Microsoft and Linux platforms. This includes managing responsibilities for the operation and administration of our internal networks, servers, email, and network security systems.

Key tasks include configuring and setting up all new server systems required for internal company activities or external clients. Additionally, firewall administration and overall internal network security are crucial aspects of this role. Email server administration, specifically for company-wide email and management of email handling systems across various domains, is also a vital function.

Maintenance of existing anti-spam and antivirus systems, as well as setting new anti-spam policies, falls within the scope of this position. Basic operational support for internal employee computer systems, mainly running Windows 2000/XP/2003, is another key duty.

The successful candidate will also manage and control their team effectively, guiding and training subordinates as needed.

Required Skills:
  1. Good working knowledge of Windows XP, 2000 / 2003, Linux, Unix
  2. Experience with Exchange Server 2003 and Microtic Server implementation
  3. Proficiency in administering Linux systems
  4. Good understanding of major networking components, network operating systems, and basic computer hardware components
  5. Proven experience working in a busy, client-focused organization
  6. Desirable: MCSE, CCNA certifications
