Job Title: Strategic Procurement Specialist

The role of the AI Procurement Engineer is pivotal in supporting the electrical engineering team by identifying, evaluating, and recommending materials, components, and vendors to meet project requirements. This involves collaborating with the Electrical Design Team to create assembly drawings for complete equipment schedules, utilizing tools such as Esticom to reduce processing time for equipment take-offs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Electrical Design Team to develop assembly drawings for complete equipment schedules, utilizing Esticom to optimize processing times.
  • Coordinate with Procurement to maintain up-to-date information on Procore cost catalog and assemblies.
  • Optimize and standardize electrical component selection to balance cost, performance, and availability.
  • Review Esticom take-offs and generate a comprehensive BOM and BOQ for projects.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on technical compliance, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review vendor technical documentation, material specifications, and certifications.
  • Explore and implement AI-powered tools for process improvement, automation, and standardization.
  • Ensure selected components and materials align with engineering design and project needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Supply Chain Management from an accredited institution.
  • At least 5 years of experience in electrical design, procurement, supply chain, or vendor evaluation within the electrical industry.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and related Autodesk software, along with experience with ERP systems (SAP, Procore, Oracle, etc.).
  • Knowledge of AI-driven procurement technologies or experience working with data-driven decision-making tools.
