Job Title: Supply Chain Coordinator

The Logistics Assistant plays a crucial role in the delivery of logistics services and support to ensure efficient operations. This position is responsible for assisting the supervisor in office management, including procurement, fleet management, and security.

Main Responsibilities
  • Office Management:
    • Act as a focal point for daily office activities and follow-ups.
    • Manage monthly office payments for both main offices and field locations.
    • Conduct regular stock inventory checks and perform visits to field sites to update stock sheets accordingly.
    • Coordinate with the procurement team on supply acquisition and delivery.
  • Fleet Management:
    • Assist in creating weekly movement plans and assigning tasks to drivers.
    • Compile field schedules on a weekly basis and maintain direct contact with focal points in each area.
  • Security:
    • Collaborate with the security manager to monitor evolving situations and inform staff accordingly.
    • Update security documents for the mission as required.
  • Logistics Reports:
    • Assist in preparing logistics reports as tasked by the manager.
  • Fraud Prevention:
    • Promote commitment to fraud prevention, detection, reporting, and risk reduction according to IMC policies and procedures, donor rules, and local laws.

Requirements
  • Qualifications: Typically, a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related areas. An equivalent combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted.
  • Experience: 6 months of experience in procurement and/or logistics.
  • Skills: Good interpersonal and team skills, ability to work well within multi-ethnic and multicultural teams, fluency in written and spoken English, knowledge of MS Office, and relevant qualifications or training courses.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work in harsh conditions, often in remote areas.
