Job Title

A specialist RAN planning role is available in Islamabad, with a focus on designing and implementing Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions to provide voice and data coverage in remote areas. The successful candidate will have experience in RF planning, optimization, and multi-technology environments.

The role involves working closely with vendors and customers to align equipment requirements with proposed network designs, preparing financial numbers for equipment and services, and creating documentation for USF bidding and queries. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for coordinating with vendors and USF to validate Mauza information, conducting site selection and difficult site relocation, and optimizing network performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in RAN planning, LTE, 5G, UMTS, and 2G RAN planning and optimization. They should also have expertise in planning tools like Asset, as well as knowledge of USF procedures, vendor management, and stakeholder communication.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates will require:

  • Year(s) of experience in RAN planning
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecom, or Computer Engineering
  • LTE, 5G, UMTS, and 2G RAN planning and optimization experience
  • Expert-level command on planning tools like Asset
  • Able to travel frequently as per requirement
  • Expertise in performance monitoring tools and drive test tools
  • Command over USF procedures like Network Planning, Documentation, CR, MIF, MS offering
  • Multi-Vendor experience (Hardware knowledge, Site solution locking, performance monitoring)
  • Vendor, internal & external stakeholder management
  • Innovative and can come up with out of the box solutions
  • Knowledge of future technologies and ability to carry out future technology trials
  • Communication and presentations skills to make solutions/ideas understandable for respective audience segments
  • Drive for results to own initiatives and continuously evolve in line with analysis and feedback
  • Ability to work effectively in a pressure and multitasking environment
