Job Title: Accounting Expertise Leader

A leading financial services organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Expertise Leader to play a crucial role in supporting clients by building strong accounting processes, managing client relationships, and overseeing a team to ensure the highest standards of quality.

Role Overview:

As an Accounting Lead, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient accounting systems, managing client accounts, and ensuring exceptional results. You will work with innovative startups and SMB clients, particularly in the US market.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and refine key accounting processes and procedures to support client needs.
  2. Oversee and manage accounting operations for multiple clients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  3. Collaborate with team managers to maintain the highest standard of work across the team.
  4. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their accounting needs and concerns.
  5. Supervise and mentor team members to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
  6. Lead project management initiatives related to accounting tasks and deadlines.
  7. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and other financial requirements.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in bookkeeping/accounting, with at least 1-2 years in a management role.
  • Proven experience with US startup or SMB accounting, preferred.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Google Sheets, and other comparable platforms.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • CFA Level 1 or higher, or ACCA certification preferred.
  • Experience in venture capital, private credit, banking, or related industries is a plus.

About the Role:

  • This is a remote role with flexibility in location, though preference will be given to candidates based in Pakistan.
  • Priority will be given to underrepresented/diverse candidates.
