As a key figure in our department, you will play a vital role in overseeing and directing the clinical and academic activities. You will assign duties to senior registrars and registrar staff to ensure seamless functioning regarding patient care, teaching, and training of students.
The role involves overseeing, supervising, and mentoring postgraduate trainees and other paramedical staff. You will also coordinate with hospital administration to ensure quality education for students and health services for patients.
- You must possess an MBBS degree and FCPS qualification in a relevant field as per PM&DC Eligibility Criteria.
- You should meet the required eligibility and experience as per PM&DC Eligibility Criteria.
- You will arrange and deliver lectures, seminars, and clinical skills sessions for MBBS/BDS students.
- You will facilitate postgraduate trainees in clinical presentation, small group discussions, case-based and problem-based teaching, journal clubs, psychomotor skills training, and preparation for examinations and dissertation.
- You will assist the Head of Department/Professor in organizing CPC/clinical meetings and conferences in collaboration with professional organizations.
- You will coordinate research activities, facilitate publication requirements, and promote continuous education for faculty and postgraduate trainees.
- You will teach basic management of common patient problems, including emergency treatment, decision-making, and developing clinical skills in students.
- You will assist in organizing MBBS/BDS examinations.
- You will ensure regular OPD sessions for ongoing medical care and supervise new patient referrals for specialist advice.
- You will conduct ward rounds to monitor and manage inpatient care.
- You will perform medical procedures under supervision and ensure diagnostics and investigations are completed appropriately.
- You will provide specialist advice on patients referred from other departments.
- You will assess patients in the emergency department for consultancy as needed.
- You will participate in on-call duties after hours to provide critical patient care.
- You will assist in departmental inquiries related to mortalities.
- You will manage, supervise, and train PGs/MOs/HOs and paramedical staff to ensure quality patient care and staff development.
- You will prepare and monitor departmental duty rosters, resolving staffing issues as they arise.
- You will maintain liaison with hospital administration regarding ward management, patient records, and routine operational matters.
