The Financial Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, including payroll management, bank reconciliations, tax compliance, and related transactions.
This includes preparing monthly trial balances to ensure accurate financial records, overseeing the payroll cycle, supervising the payroll system to guarantee timely payments, accurate record-keeping, and efficient use of banking services, as well as ensuring all payments are properly credited to company assets and that vendors receive timely payments.
Additionally, the Financial Operations Specialist will resolve queries from signatories regarding payments and monitor banking-related issues, develop monthly schedules to guarantee correct and timely entries, collaborate with tax consultants and lawyers on behalf of the company, coordinate daily with banks, prepare and check monthly bank reconciliations, and resolve outstanding issues, prepare journal vouchers and record necessary entries, track unreconciled and reconciled revenues with bank MIS daily, compile semiannual statements of comprehensive income and statements of financial position, perform journal entries according to established accounting standards, reconcile accounts, general ledger, and sub-ledger, calculate taxes owed and prepare tax returns from accounting records, submit tax returns monthly, conduct the month-end closing process, and reconcile bank statements.
In order to be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have ACCA Certification or Equivalent Required and a minimum of 2 Years Working Experience, preferably in a Construction Company setting.
