Communication Strategy Lead

This role involves developing and executing communications strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. The successful candidate will create and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to generate positive media coverage and secure interviews and feature stories.

They will oversee the company's social media presence, including developing and implementing content strategies, managing community engagement, and monitoring analytics. Additionally, they will work collaboratively with Customer Success and Support teams to escalate, research and resolve customer review site queries that affect the company's reputation.

  • Develop and execute comprehensive communications strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to generate positive media coverage and secure interviews and feature stories
  • Oversee the company's social media presence, including developing and implementing content strategies, managing community engagement, and monitoring analytics
  • Work collaboratively with Customer Success and Support teams to escalate, research and resolve customer review site queries that affect the company's reputation
  • Develop crisis communication plans and lead the organization's response during reputational crises or emergencies, providing timely and accurate information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the writing and editing of press releases, blog posts, interview responses, and other communications materials when required
  • Monitor media coverage to evaluate the effectiveness of public relations campaigns and identify areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, customer success, executive leadership, etc.) to ensure consistent messaging is adopted across all communication channels
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, current events, and emerging issues that may impact the organization's reputation and recommend proactive strategies to address these
  • Mentor and coach members of the team to support learning and skills development
