Legal Counsel Contracts

Job Description:

This role will be responsible for providing dedicated legal support to select functional departments within the organization, including consultation, advice, contract review and negotiation. The key function of this role is to ensure that all legal matters are handled efficiently and effectively, while also contributing to the development of the organization's policies and procedures.

The Legal Counsel will work closely with internal stakeholders to provide legal assistance and support, and will be responsible for drafting and reviewing contracts, as well as engaging in negotiations with external parties when necessary.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of contract, corporate and intellectual property laws, and will be able to apply this knowledge in a practical and effective manner.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts
  • Engaging in negotiations with external parties
  • Conducting legal research and analysis
  • Developing and implementing legal strategies

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A strong background in law, with at least 4-6 years of experience in an in-house legal team or law firm
  • Knowledge of contract, corporate and intellectual property laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
