Job Description

The Patient Safety Coordinator Leader will be responsible for leading our team in ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our patients. This involves executing quality improvement plans and actions, managing and coordinating incident reporting, risk management, and complaints handling processes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Assist hospital leadership in executing the quality improvement and patient safety plan
  • Organize and coordinate monthly Quality Improvement and Patient Safety meetings
  • Coordinate and execute tasks related to quality improvement plans and actions
  • Assist clinical and managerial departments in selecting and organizing quality indicators
  • Manage and coordinate incident reporting, risk management, and complaints handling processes
  • Facilitate internal and external audits for clinical and non-clinical departments
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards
  • Deliver education and training sessions on quality, patient safety, risk management, and applicable quality standards
  • Assist hospital leadership in coordinating medical staff credentialing and privileging processes
  • Facilitate departments in conducting quality improvement projects

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, preferably with professional certification in quality management, patient safety, or risk management
  • At least two years of postgraduate experience in reputable healthcare organizations
  • Good competency in data management and analysis
  • Ability to break down complex issues into parts and synthesize succinctly
  • Ability to identify client needs and respond efficiently and effectively
  • Ability to listen actively and present information clearly and concisely
  • Ability to recognize and act on present issues and offer ideas to address them
  • Resilience to cope with work pressure and ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good command over computer use and excellent interpersonal skills
