Job Overview

A highly skilled Production Manager is sought after to spearhead manufacturing processes and drive performance excellence.

This role involves overseeing operational efficiency, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining regulatory compliance by optimizing resources, workflows, and team collaboration to achieve production objectives effectively.

  • Collaborate in creating and managing production schedules that align with customer demands while adhering to DRAP regulations, GMP, and FDA standards.
  • Monitor daily production activities to ensure alignment with company goals, quality standards, and safety protocols in controlled production areas.
  • Maintain adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control measures.
  • Ensure a clear understanding of sterile production area requirements and address issues related to contamination control, equipment sterilization, and machine maintenance.
  • Closely work with the Quality Assurance team to address any issues or deviations from required quality standards.
  • Train production staff to maintain productivity, safety, and ensure they follow established procedures.
  • Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure cost-effective operations through lean manufacturing practices.
  • Oversee machine maintenance and ensure all necessary equipment is in working order to minimize production downtime.
  • Monitor raw material usage and coordinate with the Procurement Department to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, biomedical or related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in production management, preferably in a pharmaceutical or medical device manufacturing environment.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with wound care dressings, pain relief patches, and surgical bandages & tapes, sterilization processes (e.g., Electron Beam, Gamma Radiation).
  • Working knowledge of GMP/ISO standards and DRAP regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent problem-solving / decision-making abilities and strong leadership and communication skills.
