Job Title: Senior Legal Officer

About the Role:

This role is responsible for providing legal support to the business teams, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and drafting legal documents.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of corporate law, excellent research and analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day legal support to the business teams, including reviewing and advising on contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including letters, agreements, forms, notices, and other legal instruments.
  • Assist with litigation matters and other legal disputes, including liaising with external counsel as needed.
  • Conduct legal research and provide advice on a wide range of legal issues affecting the company's operations.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of internal legal policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Minimum qualification of LLB and with 1-3 years of post-qualification experience in a top-tier law firm or as an in-house counsel at a reputable company.
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent research and analytical skills on legal propositions.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team to manage multiple/diverse stakeholders while using sound judgment, initiative, discretion, and a proactive approach to work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with lawyers, international colleagues, and business clients at all levels as a team player.
