Pricing Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to lead and manage competitive pricing strategies across ocean and air freight verticals. This senior role involves analyzing market trends, developing optimized pricing solutions, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Pricing Strategy Development: Develop, manage, and execute pricing strategies for ocean (FCL/LCL) and air freight.
  • Rate Negotiation: Obtain, negotiate, and evaluate rates from carriers, airlines, agents, and co-loaders.
  • Rate Management: Maintain up-to-date rate sheets and respond to rate inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the sales team to provide competitive quotes based on market trends and margin requirements.
  • Industry Monitoring: Monitor industry developments and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
Performance Expectations:
  • Turnaround Time: Provide rate quotations within defined turnaround times of 4 hours or less.
  • Sales Support: Support monthly sales closures by enabling minimum 25 qualified quotations per week.
  • Margins and Win Rates: Maintain competitive margin benchmarks while ensuring win rate targets of 30% or higher.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field.
  • Experience: 3–4 years of experience in pricing or commercial roles within freight forwarding (ocean and air).
  • Negotiation and Relationship Management: Strong negotiation and vendor relationship management skills.
  • International Trade Knowledge: Good understanding of international trade lanes, incoterms, and pricing models.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (experience with similar systems preferred).
