Job Title

We are seeking a skilled Medical Operations Specialist to join our team.

This role is responsible for providing administrative support to healthcare professionals, ensuring the efficient operation of medical offices.

  • Patient Communication: Handle patient inquiries via phone, email and chat, providing information, scheduling appointments and addressing concerns.
  • Appointment Scheduling: Manage and coordinate patient appointments, ensuring optimal use of time and resources for healthcare providers.
  • Medical Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic health systems, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information, handle pre-authorizations and process claims.
  • Data Entry: Input and update patient information, medical histories and treatment plans in the electronic medical records system.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with preparation of medical reports, correspondence and other documents as needed.
  • Customer Service: Provide high-quality service to patients, addressing their needs promptly and professionally.
  • Telehealth Support: Assist with setup and management of telehealth appointments, ensuring both patients and providers are prepared and connected.
  • Billing Assistance: Support the billing department by preparing and submitting medical billing information and following up on outstanding claims.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience as a medical assistant or in a healthcare administrative role.
  • Education: Certification in Medical Assisting or a related field.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare practices.
