We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Laravel Team Lead to drive backend architecture and lead our development team. This individual will be responsible for architecting robust applications, ensuring best practices, and leading complex Laravel-based projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Backend Development: Architecting, developing, and maintaining backend features using Laravel.
  • API Integration: Building and maintaining RESTful APIs for frontend consumption (React/Next.js teams) and integrating third-party services, APIs, and payment gateways as needed.
  • Code Quality: Writing clean, secure, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
  • Database Management: Designing database schemas, writing optimized queries, and managing migrations (MySQL/PostgreSQL).
  • Core Services: Implementing authentication, authorization, and other core backend services.
  • Troubleshooting: Debugging complex issues and providing long-term solutions to improve stability and performance.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborating closely with frontend developers, project managers, and designers to align on technical needs.
  • Mentorship: Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior developers.
  • Technology Expertise: Staying up to date with the Laravel ecosystem and suggesting improvements to our tech stack.
Requirements:
  • Laravel Experience: 5+ years of experience as a Laravel developer.
  • PHP Knowledge: Deep understanding of PHP and the Laravel framework (including queues, events, jobs, middleware, etc.).
  • API Skills: Solid experience with RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations.
  • Database Expertise: Strong knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
  • Version Control: Comfortable with Git and version control workflows.
  • Agile Environment: Experience working in agile or fast-paced development environments.
  • Server Administration: Experience managing Linux servers, Nginx/Apache, and cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean, etc.).
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Communication: Clear and professional communication skills.
  • CICD Tools: Knowledge of CI/CD tools and automated testing.
  • Frontend Familiarity: Familiarity with frontend technologies (Vue.js, React) is a plus.
  • Leadership Capabilities: Leadership and mentorship capabilities.
