System Automation Engineer

Avanceon is seeking a skilled System Automation Engineer to join our team. This role involves developing and executing test plans to ensure automation systems reliability and functionality.

  • Develop and execute test plans to ensure automation systems reliability and functionality
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation issues, optimize system performance, minimize downtime
  • Conduct regular system maintenance including upgrades, backups, configuration activities
  • Provide training and support to operations teams on proper use and maintenance of automation systems
  • Document all processes configurations and changes related to automation systems
  • Preparation of progress and root cause analysis reports
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Diploma or bachelors degree in engineering automation or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years working in automation as PLC/RTU Programmer and commissioning preferably on Water Wastewater Oil & Gas Infrastructure projects
  • Experience with various PLC platforms and RTUs like Schneider M580 Rockwell Control Compact Logix Siemens S7-300 S7-400 S7-1500 PCS-7 WinCC SCADA WinCC OA SCADA TBOX RTU
  • Experience with open communication protocols used in automation like Modbus Serial Modbus RTU BACnet MSTP OPC MQTT DNP3 etc
  • Familiarity with control panel wiring and instrumentation
  • Ability to read documents and drawings related to control systems i.e P&IDs layouts Control Panel Drawings troubleshoot wiring issues
  • Strong problem-solving analytical skills
  • Excellent communication teamwork abilities
  • Ability to work independently manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • UPDA holder
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Preference for international driving license
