Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

We are looking for a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our team and help build and maintain performance and reliability of the Data platform.

The ideal candidate will have proven expertise with installing, maintaining and scaling Databricks clusters, as well as experience in building, scaling and maintaining data platforms on public cloud environments.

In this role, you will design, build and maintain infrastructure as code for the Data as a Service platform, either by contributing pull requests yourself or by reviewing the work of others.

You will also participate in refining the architecture of the platform and take ownership of troubleshooting and resolving issues that may arise.

  1. Experience with Databricks infrastructure: At least 4 years experience with Databricks infrastructure (maintaining and scaling, performance tuning, cost optimization)
  2. Multi-tenant installation in Databricks: Experience with multi-tenant installation in Databricks is highly desirable
  3. Data platform on public cloud: Experience in building, scaling and maintaining data platforms on public cloud environments (preferably Azure)
  4. Monitoring and metrics: Familiarity with monitoring and metrics tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Azure Monitor
  5. Programming and automation: Proficiency in programming languages and experience with automation tools
  6. Desired state configuration: Experience with cloud environments and using desired state configuration to manage them (Terraform/OpenTofu is preferred)
  7. Cloud environments: At least 5 years experience in a similar role running workloads on public cloud environments
  8. GitOps / ArgoCD: Knowledge of GitOps/ArgoCD is highly desirable
  9. Linux-based operating systems: Experience in maintaining and troubleshooting Linux-based operating systems
  10. Strong communication skills: Strong communication skills are essential for success in this role
